Every town, from public data
We start with the Census list of places in each state, so your town is in the index even before anyone lists there.
Listings confirmed by the vendor
Farms, markets and makers send us their details. A listing goes live only after the vendor confirms it, and it shows the date we last checked.
Recipes tested before we say so
A recipe is labelled tested only after three or more test runs, including one in a second home kitchen, with a written log.
What is coming
We would rather show an honest empty shelf than fill it with made-up listings. These sections fill in as real content arrives.
